Saskatchewan’s On-Line Pickleball Shop
Shopping and browsing on-line. You can browse the Pickleball Shop at your convenience and make purchases. We understand that this does not allow you to experience the feel of a new paddle or the sensation of hitting a ball with a paddle of different weights. Thus, we bring pickleball to you.
We bring the Pickleball Shop to you and your community. We have travelled throughout rural Saskatchewan promoting the game of pickleball, teaching lessons, and allowing people to see and “test drive” some of the newest equipment on the market. We assist you to find a paddle that fits your hand, your game and the paddle weight that works for you. This can only come from having that new paddle in your own hand on the court.
Pickleball Shop
The Pickleball Shop is a Saskatchewan sole-proprietor company that is dedicated to the sport of Pickleball in the province of Saskatchewan.
In addition to selling paddles and balls, The Pickleball Shop an offers an orientation to Pickleball (the basic introduction), and additional lessons geared to bringing the skill level up to a 2.5 to a 3.0 level of play. The orientation has been offered in a number of rural Saskatchewan communities. We bring all the paddles, balls and nets to the community and offer encouragement to develop the sport in the local community. In general, the orientation consists of player safety, equipment, 4 basic strokes to get a game started, scoring, some of the basic rules, and a few strategies. This much will get you started and create the environment for a lot of fun.
Reg Dumont and Karen Wallace learned to play pickleball in Punta Gorda, Florida in 2015. Since that time, they have been playing pickleball year-round. They are Level 1 Coaches certified by the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA). They have been the fortunate benefactors of playing with and against people who are certified coaches at the highest level.
Karen is the past-Secretary for Pickleball Canada. They love to promote the game and teach whenever possible. Within Saskatchewan, they have taught in many rural communities including Kindersley, Unity, Fort Qu’Appelle, Moosomin, Odessa, Radville, Katepwa, Lebret, Indian Head, Oungre, Rosthern, Kamsack, Melville, Yorkton, Maple Creek, Swift Current and Southey. Internationally, they have taught pickleball in Florida, Australia, and Fiji. More travels to come.
